Reid Hoffman Donates $10 Million to Super PAC Backing Talarico Senate Bid

Reid Hoffman donated $10 million in June 2026 to a super PAC supporting James Talarico's Texas Senate campaign, @Forbes reported, citing Federal Election Commission filings. Bloomberg identified the gift as the largest to any super PAC during the second quarter. Hoffman had previously given $1.5 million to the same effort.

Talarico's campaign collected $30 million in donations for the quarter, more than triple the $9 million raised by Republican opponent Ken Paxton. Hoffman has directed roughly $77 million to Democratic groups and candidates since 2016, The Texas Tribune reported. Forbes estimates his net worth at $2.7 billion.

A June New York Times/Siena University poll showed Talarico and Paxton tied at 47 percent support each. Paxton defeated incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the May Republican primary runoff by 28 points after receiving an endorsement from President Donald Trump.
