The service can transcribe conversations, generate summaries, book cabs, order food, and make reservations, and is expected to launch later in 2026 for Jio’s more than 500 million users.
Reliance also unveiled an AI-powered version of its MyJio app that can activate eSIMs and select roaming plans through natural-language requests.
The company introduced TeleFrame, a home display that uses AI agents to surface weather alerts, schedules, and household reminders. Mukesh Ambani, 69, said at the meeting: “India should not be a mere consumer of AI created elsewhere. ” Reliance stated the new AI services would operate with user consent.
The company did not answer questions about whether data generated through the products could be used to train AI models or shared with partners. Reliance launched Reliance Intelligence last year to develop AI infrastructure and services supporting 22 Indian languages. Earlier in 2026, Reliance announced plans to invest $110 billion in AI infrastructure.
At the June 18 meeting, it unveiled JioHealthIQ, JioLearnIQ, JioKrishiIQ, and AI Vyapar for healthcare, education, agriculture, and small businesses. Jio Platforms’ board approved a draft prospectus for an IPO that would include a fresh issue of up to 270 million shares. Last week, Reliance announced a collaboration with Meta to establish an AI data center in Gujarat.
Reliance has partnerships with Google, Meta, and Nvidia. Reliance’s shares are down about 17% this year. Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, and Adani Group have expanded AI initiatives and partnerships with Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI.
Recent restrictions on access to some of Anthropic’s latest models have affected Indian startups and businesses.
