The IndependentRenault has updated its all-electric Megane E-Tech hatchback with a new battery, increased range, and faster charging capability. The revised model carries a 67 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that replaces the previous unit and raises the official maximum range to 311 miles from the earlier 285-mile figure.
The new battery supports a peak rapid-charging rate of 165 kW, with a claimed time of about 24 minutes to move from 15 to 80 percent charge. Power output remains 217 bhp with 300 Nm of torque, and the motor is produced without rare-earth materials.
The front end receives the largest visual update, including a chunkier body-coloured bumper, a gloss-black grille with a new diamond pattern, and eight illuminated diamond shapes in place of the former side air intakes. The badge has been repositioned lower on the bonnet, while the rear lights adopt a lens-free 3D design.
Overall length stays at 4,200 mm and the boot capacity remains 440 litres, though the car is now 20 mm taller because of the larger battery pack.

The infotainment system uses Google services, now including more than 100 apps, three years of connectivity, and Google Gemini AI in place of the former assistant. The updated Megane is the first Renault model to offer Apple MagSafe wireless charging alongside the Qi2 standard.
A new driver-recognition system can load personalised settings via facial scan, and all data remains stored in the vehicle. Additional features include a One Pedal driving mode and four levels of regenerative braking controlled by steering-wheel paddles.
Standard AC charging stays at 11 kW, with an optional 22 kW bidirectional system that can supply external devices or feed power back to the grid where available.
