Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) is under investigation by the Department of Justice, a source familiar with the matter told the Washington Examiner. The agency did not respond to a request for comment on the probe.
Mills has faced accusations of domestic violence, stolen valor, and financial misconduct. He has denied any wrongdoing. The FBI reached out to at least one person about Mills’s finances last year, according to MS NOW.
The House Ethics Committee has been investigating Mills since August 2024. It established an investigative subcommittee in November 2025. The House inquiry includes a February 2025 incident in which Mills was allegedly involved in a domestic violence matter.
