Repair work is occurring on the Dniprovska line, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant’s primary 750 kV high-voltage connection. The repairs are taking place under an IAEA-brokered localized ceasefire. IAEA teams are positioned on both sides of the Dnipro river to monitor the repairs.
The ceasefire arrangement allows repair crews safe access to the damaged section of the line. IAEA teams on each bank of the Dnipro river are coordinating to verify that repair work proceeds without interruption. Damage to the Dniprovska line had previously disrupted external power supply to the Zaporizhzhia plant.
The IAEA did not provide a timeline for completion of the repairs.
