ForbesRobert Plant’s Saving Grace – All That Glitters EP climbed to new peaks on two UK charts in its second week of availability. The set, connected to Record Store Day, rose on the Official Vinyl Singles chart and the Official Physical Singles chart while falling on the Official Singles Sales chart.
Last week the EP debuted at No. 15 on the Official Vinyl Singles chart. It now stands at No. 12. On the Official Physical Singles chart, which includes CD, cassette and vinyl sales, it advanced from its opening position to No. 13. The new positions surpass the previous solo best of No.
17 set by the single “Hurting Kind (I’ve Got My Eyes On You)” in June 2021. The EP has therefore become the highest-charting solo release on both the vinyl and physical singles rankings.
On the Official Singles Sales chart the EP fell from No. 16 to No. 83 in its second week. Despite the decline it still exceeded the No. 61 peak reached by “Hurting Kind (I’ve Got My Eyes On You)” in 2021. The title is one of only two solo releases by the artist to appear on the Official Singles Sales chart. It is the first of his solo projects to spend more than one week on that list.
The EP was one of dozens of Record Store Day titles released recently. While many such limited editions exit the UK charts after one week, Saving Grace – All That Glitters remained in the top ranks on two of the three charts it occupies. The release measures short enough in duration to qualify for singles charts in the UK rather than album lists.
It continues to sell in physical formats several days after its initial availability.
