Rodeo to Run Daily on National Mall During State Fair
Freedom 250 announced a daily rodeo on the National Mall from June 25 to July 10, 2026. The event is part of the Great American State Fair marking the country's 250th anniversary.
Washington ExaminerFreedom 250 announced details on Sunday for a daily rodeo on Washington, D.C.'s National Mall. The shows will run as part of the Great American State Fair, which the organization is leading to mark the United States's 250th anniversary of independence.
The rodeo will feature Spanish vaquero traditions, cattle drives, Wild West performances, charros, trick riding, Roman riding, trick roping, and precision riding demonstrations. It will be free and open to the public.
Performances are set for Sunday through Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m., with a special show on July 4 at 3 p.m. Advanced registration is encouraged. The event will run from June 25 through July 10, 2026.
"For generations, the cowboy has represented the very best of the American spirit — grit, determination, self-reliance, and optimism," Freedom 250 CEO Keith Krach said. " The rodeo is one of several events Freedom 250 is organizing for the semiquincentennial, including the Great American State Fair, the Patriot Games high school competition, and a recent UFC event at the White House.
