Rolls-Royce to Begin Production of 100-Unit Project Nightingale Electric Two-Seater in 2027
All 100 units of the marque's first Coachbuild Collection car, inspired by 1920s experimental models, have been sold following client commitments made from a five-line sketch 18 months ago. Production is set to begin next year at the expanded Goodwood, England factory after more than £300 million in investment.

Production of the cars begins at the company's Goodwood, England, factory next year. Testing starts later this year, the vehicles will be built in late 2027 and client deliveries begin in 2028.
Project Nightingale is the marque's first Coachbuild Collection. The styling of the car's body will be the same but how it is executed for each client will be different. It drew inspiration from high-speed experimental EX Rolls-Royces of the 1920s.

The company is extending its factory in Goodwood after investing more than £300 million to add 40,000 square meters of space. Rolls-Royce has been recruiting tailors, tattoo artists and cabinet makers for jobs at its Goodwood facility. Brownridge took over as CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in December 2023.
"Nothing keeps me up at night," Brownridge told ABC News from the company's private office in New York. "We are in a very strong position today.

He said he rode in an engineering prototype of Project Nightingale and it was the most special experience. Rolls-Royce new orders in Q1 2026 were up 8% year-on-year, Brownridge said. He said 2026 has performed exactly as expected and demand is strengthening despite a volatile world.

Brownridge said the company worked with clients it knew would be passionate about the Project Nightingale because it is a collector piece that will also be used and seen on the road. @ABC reported that scarcity remains absolutely sacrosanct to Rolls-Royce and that the Coachbuild Collection is part of a business strategy focused on creating more meaningful Rolls-Royces.
The expansion at Goodwood supports both this project and significant growth in the company's bespoke business.
