The 64-year-old comedian attended the 2026 Tony Awards on Sunday after moving to Ireland in January 2025. She previously tested re-entry during a secret February trip.
nypost.comRosie O'Donnell, 64, attended the 2026 Tony Awards in New York on Sunday after moving to Ireland with her 13-year-old child Clay in January 2025. She told Page Six she had worried about re-entering the United States following President Trump's July 2025 statement that he was considering revoking her citizenship.
O'Donnell said she traveled alone without Clay during a secret February trip to test whether she could return without issues.
Clay, her youngest of five children and the only one with autism, remained in Ireland during that visit. She stayed in the United States for two weeks and appeared on SiriusXM's Cuomo Mornings to discuss the trip. "I worried the first time I came back, whether that would be problematic, and I came alone without my child, who is 13 and has autism," O'Donnell told Page Six.
She added that she is an American citizen and that freedom of speech is not grounds for arrest. O'Donnell said she had not been home in over a year before the February trip and wanted to hold her children again. O'Donnell also used the February trip to assess conditions before bringing Clay back for the summer.
She told Page Six she plans to spend the summer in the United States with her family and daughter once Clay finishes the school year in Ireland. " At the Tony Awards, O'Donnell also discussed a facelift she revealed last month. She said she chose to disclose the procedure to avoid misleading people struggling with weight, comparing it to celebrities who lose weight on medication without acknowledgment.
She said she would not get another facelift once she reaches 75, which she expects in 10 or 12 years. Page Six reported that President Trump has feuded with O'Donnell for years. The comedian moved to Ireland after the 2024 presidential election.
