Royal Mint Releases 50p Coin Marking 25 Years of Lord of the Rings Film
The Royal Mint launched a new 50p collectible coin on Wednesday to mark the 25th anniversary of the first Lord of the Rings film. The coin is the first in a planned seven-coin series celebrating the trilogy over the next three years.

It is the first of seven coins planned for release over the next three years, timed to coincide with the 25th anniversaries of each film in the trilogy.
