Sơn Tùng M-TP and Tyga released the single “Come My Way” this past weekend on all streaming platforms. The track runs three minutes and eleven seconds and was written and composed by Sơn Tùng M-TP, Tyga, and Marvey Muziqyue. The music video was filmed in Downtown Los Angeles and Vietnam.

It shows Sơn Tùng M-TP standing on a bronze Chim Lạc, an ancient Vietnamese bird, as the figure floats through Downtown Los Angeles streets. The video alternates to scenes of the singer on a platform with dancers wearing Xuân Phả folk masks against the landscape of Trang An in Ninh Binh Province.

Additional sequences include Sơn Tùng M-TP riding an ox in tribute to the Bay Nui Ox Racing Festival in An Giang province.

Tyga appears with a DeLorean DMC-12 on a rooftop in Downtown Los Angeles, and the video shows the DeLorean and Chim Lạc parked side by side. The clip also features a jade water buffalo, Vietnam’s national animal symbolizing wealth and prosperity, and shows Sơn Tùng M-TP wearing an Áo Dài, a traditional Vietnamese outfit.

Tyga said, “Working with Sơn Tùng M-TP on this record felt natural because it gave me a chance to reconnect with a side of my heritage that’s always been part of me.

Growing up half-Vietnamese, I’ve always had pride in that identity, and being able to celebrate it through music on a global record like this just felt right. ” Sơn Tùng M-TP said, “Collaborating with Tyga felt special because this song represents more than just music, as it’s a cultural connection.

I really respected how open he was about embracing his Vietnamese heritage through this project, and that made our collaboration feel genuine from the beginning.

Sơn Tùng M-TP, 31, debuted in 2011 and is known as the “Prince of V-pop” or “King of V-Pop” of this generation. Forbes reported that he has dominated the music scene in Asia since his debut and consistently tops Vietnamese music charts. His style blends Vietnamese folk music with R&B, soul, hip-hop, pop, hyper-pop, EDM, and tropical house.

Tyga is a multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated rapper known for West Coast hip-hop and party rap and has mixed Vietnamese heritage. Sơn Tùng M-TP previously collaborated with Snoop Dogg on the 2019 track “Give It To Me,” whose music video featured an appearance by Madison Beer.
