Sally Field Recalls Not Laughing at Robin Williams' Improvisation on Mrs Doubtfire Set
The actress told Stephen Colbert this week that she never laughed at Williams' improvisations during filming of the 1993 comedy, a stance that drove him to keep trying new material. She said that everybody else was laughing and carrying on while she did not laugh. “It drove him mad, actually,” Field said. Robin Williams was always trying something different to make her laugh.
