Sam Kerr Signs With Gotham FC Through 2030
Australian forward Sam Kerr has joined NWSL club Gotham FC on a free transfer. The 32-year-old returns to the league after six and a half seasons with Chelsea.

Sam Kerr has signed a contract with Gotham FC that runs through 2030. The Australian forward returns to the NWSL after playing for Chelsea since 2019. Kerr scored 116 goals in all competitions during her time at Chelsea. She won the Women's Super League Golden Boot twice and collected five league titles with the club.
Kerr previously played in the NWSL from 2015 to 2017. She recorded 77 regular-season goals, the most in league history, while playing for three teams. She was the first player to win two NWSL MVP awards and won three consecutive Golden Boots.
FC announced it will relocate to Queens, New York, beginning with the 2028 season. The club will play home matches at the under-construction Etihad Park. The team has won two NWSL championships in the past three seasons and captured the 2026 Challenge Cup in June. Kerr is expected to make her debut for Gotham FC on 15 July against the Washington Spirit at Citi Field.
