Samantha Busch Speaks Publicly About Husband Kyle Busch's Death

Samantha Busch, widow of NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, posted on Instagram on Friday about the sudden death of her husband. She wrote that prayers, messages, flowers, meals, hugs, and other acts of kindness have carried the family through the most heartbreaking days of their lives.

"The prayers, messages, flowers, meals, hugs, and countless acts of kindness have carried us through the most heartbreaking days of our lives," she said. " The post added that the family has received comfort amid the pain and expressed gratitude for support from family, friends, and strangers.

Busch died last month after being hospitalized for pneumonia that progressed into sepsis, resulting in rapid and overwhelming associated complications. He was 41. He recorded the most wins in NASCAR history with 234 victories across the sport's three national series.

A photo attached to the Instagram post shows Samantha Busch with Kyle Busch and their son Brexton, 11, during a remembrance ceremony at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 24. "Knowing the impact Kyle had on others and seeing how they are honoring him through each unique act of generosity is a true testament to how special Kyle is to so many people," she wrote.
