Samsung Introduces Movingstyle Monitor on Adjustable Rolling Stand
Samsung sells a 32-inch 4K monitor mounted on a wheeled stand that can be moved between rooms and stored when not in use. The product runs Samsung's Tizen operating system and is priced at $580.
WiredSamsung sells the Movingstyle 32, a 32-inch 4K monitor attached to an adjustable rolling stand. The stand has five hidden caster wheels and a weighted base that allows the display to be moved across flat surfaces. The monitor connects to the stand with a few screws and a power cable.
Height, tilt, and rotation adjustments are made with a single handle on the steel mounting bar. The stand itself does not move vertically.
The power cable measures 4 feet 9 inches.
Users may need an extension cord when moving the unit between distant outlets. The wheels roll on hardwood and thin rugs but face limits on stairs and thick carpet. The package includes both the rolling stand and the monitor's original desktop stand. The box is large enough to contain a television.
The monitor runs the Tizen operating system and supports Samsung TV Plus for free live channels, sports, and on-demand content. HDMI ports allow connection to laptops or game consoles. The VA panel reaches 310 nits of brightness and is rated for 250 nits. Color accuracy and saturation are described as adequate but not optimal for professional work.
The Movingstyle 32 is sold for $580.
A higher-priced 27-inch touchscreen model with 120 Hz refresh rate and built-in battery is available for $1,200. LG offers a competing 32-inch 4K smart monitor with touch input priced at $1,000. Samsung does not currently sell the rolling stand as a separate accessory.
