Samsung Movingstyle Essential Monitor Rolls on Adjustable Stand
Samsung sells a 32-inch 4K monitor attached to a wheeled stand for $580. The unit runs Tizen software and stores in a closet when not in use.
WiredSamsung packages its existing 32-inch 4K monitor with an adjustable rolling stand under the name Movingstyle Essential. The stand includes five hidden caster wheels and a weighted base that keeps the display upright during movement. The monitor connects to the stand with a few screws and a power cable routed through the pole.
Height can be changed eight inches along the steel bar; tilt and rotation are controlled by a single handle. Samsung's Tizen operating system supplies free live channels, on-demand shows, and apps without an external computer. HDMI ports allow connection to laptops or game consoles when needed.
The 4K VA panel reaches 310 nits and supports up to 250 nits rated brightness. Review measurements showed color accuracy and saturation typical of VA technology rather than IPS panels. The power cord measures four feet nine inches.
Movement across stairs, thick carpet, or between floors is not supported by the current design. A higher-priced 27-inch Movingstyle model adds touch input, 120 Hz refresh rate, and a built-in battery for $1,200. LG offers a competing 32-inch 4K touch model for $1,000.
