Samsung expanded internal testing for One UI 9 to the Galaxy S23, S24 and S24 FE series after releasing the June security update. The Galaxy S26 series is already on Beta 3.
forbes.comSamsung released the June security update that patched a local attacker vulnerability and is now expanding the One UI 9 beta to additional phones. Firmware tracker Tarun Vats confirmed internal testing has started for the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy S24 FE. A first internal build for the Galaxy A56 has also been spotted.
The Galaxy S26 is already on Beta 3 of One UI 9, while the Galaxy S25 is next in line for the public beta. Samsung is therefore running One UI 9 development across four generations of flagships and one mid-range device at the same time. Beta 3 for the Galaxy S26 fixed camera preview cropping, lock screen widget errors, S Pen home screen swipe issues and a bug that caused random reboots during video streaming.
The same build added a Quick Panel icon for Summarise Notifications, and Samsung states that the summaries are AI-generated. It also introduced smoother animations. Gemini Intelligence is not yet included in the One UI 9 beta.
The feature arrives with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 in July and will be available on every eligible device after the July 22 launch. Devices currently receiving One UI 9 beta updates are the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. Devices in internal testing are the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, S23, S23+, S23 Ultra and A56.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 will launch with stable One UI 9 on July 22.
