Samsung Testing One UI 9 Internally on Galaxy S23 through S24 Series and A56 While S26 Runs Beta 3

Samsung is testing One UI 9 on the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy A56, forbes.com reported. Internal builds for those models were spotted in the last 48 hours. The Galaxy S26 is currently on One UI 9 Beta 3.

The Galaxy S25 is next in line for the public beta. Samsung is running One UI 9 development across four generations of flagships and a mid-range device simultaneously. Beta 3 for the Galaxy S26 fixed camera preview cropping, lock screen widget errors, S Pen home screen swipe issues, random reboots during video streaming and camera lag in third-party apps such as Snapchat and Instagram when using zoom.

The build added a Quick Panel icon for Summarise Notifications, and Samsung explicitly tells users that the summaries are AI-generated. Gemini Intelligence is not yet in the One UI 9 beta. It arrives with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 on July 22, the same date the full Android 17 upgrade reaches the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

The first internal One UI 9 build has been spotted for the Galaxy A35, joining the A56 and A37 in the testing pipeline. Three mid-range A-series devices are now confirmed in One UI 9 development. The Galaxy A16 4G has started receiving the One UI 8.5 June update.

Galaxy S24 users in Europe are also receiving the One UI 8.5 June security patch, which addressed a local attacker vulnerability. 03.15 to Galaxy S26 series users on One UI 9 Beta. The update adds official One UI 9 support, a network speed indicator in the status bar, improved weather format options and an option to disable the Ongoing Chip.

Devices in internal One UI 9 testing include the Galaxy S25 series, S24 series, S23 series, A56, A35 and A37.
