San Francisco Giants Select Jackson Flora Fourth Overall in 2026 MLB Draft

The San Francisco Giants selected UC Santa Barbara pitcher Jackson Flora with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft on Saturday inside the Philadelphia convention center, nypost.com reported. Flora, a 21-year-old right-hander who stands 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, posted a 1.06 ERA with 133 strikeouts in 16 starts during the spring 2026 season.
He struck out 33.3 percent of opposing hitters while walking 8.0 percent. His fastball sits in the mid-to-upper 90s mph and reaches triple digits, and he also throws a sweeper, a sharper slider, a kick-changeup and a curveball. The Giants followed by selecting 19-year-old left-hander Carson Bolemon, a 6-foot-4 pitcher from Southside Christian High in Simpsonville, South Carolina, with the No.
29 overall pick. Flora attended Foothill High School in Pleasanton, California. The selections came after the Giants finished the 2025 season with an 81-81 record and entered the draft with $17,350,600 in bonus pool money.
They also hold the No. 55 and No. 90 overall selections in the first four rounds. Flora becomes the Giants’ highest-drafted pitcher since they took Jason Grilli fourth overall in 1997 and their first pitcher selected with their top pick since Will Bednar in 2021.
