Sandals Resorts Reopen After 2025 Jamaica Hurricane Damage
Multiple Sandals and Beaches properties in Jamaica have resumed operations following closures caused by Hurricane Melissa in October 2025. Three resorts remain closed while undergoing repairs funded by a $200 million investment.

Sandals South Coast is scheduled to reopen November 18 with a new restaurant and coffee outlet. Sandals Montego Bay plans to reopen December 18 with a new dining concept. Sandals Royal Caribbean will reopen the week before Christmas with an expanded pool and beach club.
Sandals Resorts International stated it partnered with World Central Kitchen and Team Rubicon to distribute meals and supplies after the storm. The company also committed $200 million toward repairs across affected sites.
International opened a $150 million expansion called Treasure Beach Village at its Beaches resort on Turks and Caicos. The 100-acre addition includes a 15,000-square-foot pool, food hall, and movie theater. "With more than four decades of experience operating across the Caribbean, natural events including hurricanes are something we have extensive experience preparing for," Adam Stewart, executive chairman of Sandals Resorts International, said.
