Penybont and Caernarfon Town were eliminated from the UEFA Conference League first qualifying round after defeats in away second legs, The BBC reported. Penybont, already trailing 1-0 on aggregate from the first leg at Cardiff City Stadium, lost 3-0 to Santa Coloma of Andorra. Ethan Cann was sent off in the first half.
Pedra Munoz scored after 20 minutes, with Alex Gomez and Kun Temenuzhkov adding second-half goals for a 4-0 aggregate result. Santa Coloma had previously eliminated Penybont from the competition twice in the prior three years. Caernarfon Town, trailing 5-0 from the first leg against Levadia Tallinn, conceded after four minutes when Enock Otoo scored.
Brazilian forward Wendell doubled the lead, and Joao Pedro converted a penalty after Wendell was fouled by Chris Marriott. Bubacarr Tambedou and Mihkel Ainsalu scored in the final 20 minutes to complete a 5-0 win and 10-0 aggregate victory.
