Satire Video Game Installation Moves to Florida Site Near Mar-a-Lago
An anonymous art group has relocated three arcade cabinets from Washington, D.C., to Lake Worth Beach, Florida. The installation satirizes recent U.S. military actions involving Iran.
nbcnews.comAn anonymous art protest group known as The Secret Handshake has moved its satirical video game installation from the District of Columbia to Lake Worth Beach, Florida. The project, titled "Operation Epic Furious: Strait to Hell," consists of three functional arcade cabinets.
It was first displayed at the D.C. War Memorial and is now on view at MTN SPACE in Lake Worth Beach, about five miles from Mar-a-Lago. The installation will remain in Florida for five days beginning May 18. This marks the first time the group has brought the project to the state.
The cabinets feature tongue-in-cheek battles against DEI and the pope. A plaque at the site states that the Trump administration uses video game-style messaging to promote combat. The online version of the game lets players guide a character around a pixelated White House and choose actions such as ordering a Diet Coke or burning files.
Selecting an option to hold the first lady's hand ends the game. Over 250,000 people have played the online version, according to the group.
The Secret Handshake previously created statues showing President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein in a "Titanic" pose. The group describes itself as using art and humor to prompt political discourse. The White House did not respond to a request for comment on the installation.
The project references a Truth Social post from April 7 in which a threat against Iran was posted before a ceasefire agreement was reached that night.
