Saturday Night Live Parodies Pam Bondi's Firing in NCAA Final Four Sketch

Saturday Night Live aired a cold open skit on its most recent episode that referenced the firing of Attorney General Pam Bondi. The parody depicted an NCAA Final Four postgame show, with Kenan Thompson portraying Charles Barkley. In the sketch, Barkley's character deviated from sports topics to comment on Bondi's departure.

Thompson, as Barkley, stated: "It is a shame when somebody gets fired. " Actress Ashley Padilla then appeared as Bondi, responding to the remarks. She said: "I'm sorry, Charles, but I can't let the lies you said about me go unanswered. The truth is, I was amazing at my job.

Padilla's character added: "I shattered that glass exit door!" The skit continued with Bondi's portrayal breaking down in tears, saying: "They threw my headshot in the trash like it was the Epstein files!" The parody highlighted Bondi's ouster in a comedic format, drawing on her role in the Trump administration.

Pam Bondi served as Attorney General in President Donald Trump's administration until her dismissal. Following her firing, Bondi posted a farewell message on the social platform X on Thursday. In the post, she thanked Trump for the opportunity to serve.

Bondi's firing occurred alongside the dismissal of former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. The Hill reported that Trump indicated on Sunday he does not anticipate additional Cabinet shake-ups. Jason Miller, a Republican strategist and former Trump campaign spokesperson, addressed speculation about further changes in a post on X.
