SB19 members Stell, Pablo, Ken, Justin, and Josh will throw the ceremonial first pitch when the Chicago White Sox host the New York Yankees at Rate Field on July 29. Rappler reported that the group will become the first P-pop act to take part in the Major League Baseball ritual. The appearance belongs to SB19’s global promo tour across the United States and Japan.
Earlier Filipinos who have thrown the first pitch include Manny Pacquiao, Pia Wurtzbach, Liza Soberano, Sarina Bolden, and Aleah Finnegan. SB19 is scheduled to perform at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on July 28 and at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago on July 30. The group will then travel to Japan for Summer Sonic appearances in Osaka on August 14 and Tokyo on August 15.
Thanksgiving fan meets are set for Sacramento on August 8, Rohnert Park on August 9, and Yokohama on August 18.
