Scotland Overcomes 10-Point Halftime Deficit to Defeat Fiji 33-17

Scotland defeated Fiji 33-17 at Murrayfield in round three of the Nations Championship, The BBC reported. The visitors led 17-7 at halftime after scoring three tries but conceded 26 unanswered points in the second half. Fiji's tries came from Ikanivere, Ravutaumada and Canakaivata, with Armstrong-Ravula converting one.

Scotland replied through Jonny Gray early, then four scores from the bench: two by Jamie Dobie, one each by Pierre Schoeman and Scott Cummings. Horne converted one try and Burke added three. Scotland made 14 changes from the side that played the previous week.

Ollie Smith wore a special shirt in tribute to the late Scott Hastings before Gray's opening try, which followed a line break by the centre. Lekima Tagitagivalu received a yellow card for a head shot on Horne during Fiji's first-half dominance. Gregor Townsend introduced his replacements at the interval.

Schoeman scored shortly after entering, Dobie added two late tries including the match-sealing score, and Cummings crossed for the bonus-point try. Sione Tuipulotu also entered as a substitute and helped shift momentum.
