Scott Dixon Leaves Chip Ganassi Racing After 25 Years

Scott Dixon announced July 2 that he is leaving Chip Ganassi Racing after 25 years. Dixon won 58 of his 59 career IndyCar victories and all six of his series championships with the team, including the 2008 Indianapolis 500. The decision followed months of internal discussions.

Dixon said the choice was emotional and that he had contemplated it for six months or longer. Felix Rosenqvist announced June 24 that he is leaving Meyer Shank Racing. Rosenqvist won the 2026 Indianapolis 500 by 0.0233 seconds over David Malukas.
