Scottie Scheffler missed the cut at the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open, ending a streak of 78 consecutive cuts made on the PGA Tour since 2022. The streak ranked fifth on the all-time list behind Tiger Woods at 142 cuts, Byron Nelson at 113, Jack Nicklaus at 105, and Hale Irwin at 86.
Woods held the record after making the cut 142 consecutive times from 1998 to 2005 before the streak ended at the AT&T Byron Nelson on May 13, 2005. Scheffler had been viewed as a potential challenger to the record before the Scottish Open result. Matt Fitzpatrick and Hideki Matsuyama now hold the longest active streaks among PGA Tour players.
