Seahawks Coach Introduces 'Run It Forward' Phrase for Repeat Title Push

Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Tuesday the team is using the phrase 'run it forward' to describe its process and identity as it seeks to repeat as Super Bowl champions. "We're using the term, we want to run it forward -- 'it' meaning our process and who we are," Macdonald said.

He added that the phrase will be discussed consistently rather than as a one-time message. Macdonald said the approach focuses on daily standards, chasing edges, and a spirit of evolution. He stated he has not sensed complacency among players during the current program.

The Seahawks' voluntary offseason program began April 20, ten weeks and one day after their Super Bowl LX win over the New England Patriots. Macdonald allowed veterans to participate remotely for the first two weeks due to the short turnaround. Many of those players still attended in person from the start.
