Fans will be required to arrive two hours early, pass multiple checkpoints, and go through TSA-style magnetometers. A no-bag policy is also in effect.
Service officials canceled the watch party that had been held outside the Garden during the Knicks' playoff run. The event will instead be moved several blocks away to Bryant Park. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the decision was made in coordination with the Secret Service because of the presidential visit.
Ticket prices and access Get-in ticket prices have risen above $6,000, higher than the average monthly rent in New York. Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he purchased his ticket directly from Madison Square Garden for about $1,000. Knicks guard Jose Alvarado said fans will find other ways to watch the game outside the security zone.
