Sempra began producing liquefied natural gas at Mexico’s first West Coast export terminal. The company said it intends to ship the fuel to Asia. @business reported that the start of production marks the first LNG output from a West Coast terminal in Mexico.
The global LNG market has been hurt by tightened supply due to the Iran war, according to the same report. Sempra said the cargoes are expected to provide additional volumes to buyers in Asia.
