Sen. Jon Ossoff Raises $20 Million in Second Quarter for 2026 Reelection Bid

Sen. Jon Ossoff raised $20 million in the second quarter of 2026 and held $42 million in cash on hand at the end of the period, Fortune reported. His Republican opponent, Rep. Mike Collins, raised and held about $2.1 million over the same span.
Ossoff, 39, is the only Democratic senator seeking reelection in a state President Trump carried in 2024. He faces Collins, who won the Republican primary after receiving Trump’s endorsement. ” Clips from the speeches have circulated widely on social media.
Maryland Gov. Wes Moore campaigned in Georgia for Ossoff and Democratic nominee for governor Keisha Lance Bottoms. Ossoff has built a record of constituent services and investigations into state programs while serving his first term.
Ossoff lost a 2017 special election for a House seat to Karen Handel after Trump nominated Rep. Tom Price as health secretary. He won election to the Senate in 2020 against Sen. David Perdue. Democratic strategist Lis Smith said Ossoff is “having a moment” that could become a launching pad for larger roles, while cautioning that one speech does not sustain a campaign.
