Mikie Sherrill did not order state flags lowered to half-staff as of Thursday midday. New Jersey state Sen. Joe Pennacchio, R-Boonton, had formally requested the action earlier in the week. The New Jersey Department of State website showed all flags at full-staff.
Delaware Gov. Matt Meyer and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro ordered flags lowered in response to the White House proclamation. Governors in California, Colorado, Maryland, New York and Virginia did not appear to issue similar orders.
Sen. , recorded a video honoring Graham. Rep. " Sherrill was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2026. Her office did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
