Seven-Eleven Japan will hold an 80 percent stake, while Dentsu Group and CyberAgent will each hold 10 percent. Seven-Eleven Ad Connect will distribute ads to digital signage inside Seven-Eleven Japan stores and through a related app. The ads will be selected using the chain’s purchase data and adjusted for weather, time of day, and real-time inventory levels at each outlet.
Dentsu will handle purchase data analysis and ad display design for the venture. CyberAgent will produce ads using artificial intelligence. Seven-Eleven Japan plans to more than double the number of its stores equipped with digital signage this fiscal year, reaching 8,700 locations.
FamilyMart has already installed digital signage in 11,000 stores, while Lawson is testing the technology. Seven-Eleven Japan President Tomohiro Akutsu and other executives announced the new company in Tokyo on June 11, 2026.
