A rookie fourth-round pick made a contested catch during Tuesday's practice. The quarterback threw a 45-yard pass to the right sideline while the receiver was covered by a cornerback. The player received additional first-team snaps because two wide receivers did not practice.
The team's coach said after practice that at least one of two rookies could have major opportunities at wide receiver this season. Both rookies are described as competitive and detailed for their experience level. The two absent wide receivers are expected to return for training camp.
The right tackle participated in the first day of minicamp while wearing uniform. The player is waiting for the team to address a contract that expires after this season.
