Shakira performed the official World Cup 2026 anthem “Dai Dai” with Burna Boy at the Spain-Argentina final halftime show at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. com reported. The crystals were hand-embroidered over 120 hours across two weeks.
Fausto Puglisi, creative director of Roberto Cavalli since 2020, designed the look. com reported. She performed most of the set barefoot before adding coordinating pink-and-yellow booties and gold Swarovski sunglasses for the PS22 Chorus finale.
Shakira told Vogue the outfit bridged her earlier Cavalli performances at the 2010 World Cup opening and closing ceremonies in South Africa. “It’s a full circle moment — the colors are similar too,” she said. ” Her 34 backup dancers also wore Roberto Cavalli pieces in the same palette.
The show, curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, also featured Madonna, Justin Bieber and BTS, with conductor Gustavo Dudamel leading the orchestra. Roberto Cavalli died in April 2024.
