According to Forbes, Biles noted that the stress of the situation was increased by the absence of her husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens, who was in Indiana for practice while she was at their home in Houston, Texas. She also referenced support from her U.S. elite teammate and LSU gymnast Zoe Miller.

On Friday, Biles posted from St. Louis, Missouri, Jonathan Owens’ hometown. She stated that she will now be on bed rest. Biles did not disclose the specific cause of the hospitalization or the nature of her diagnosis in the posts.
