Singer Oliver Tree Dies in Helicopter Collision Near Rio de Janeiro
Two helicopters collided mid-air on June 14 near Rio de Janeiro, killing all six people aboard including American singer Oliver Tree. Officials said one aircraft struck a parking lot and damaged at least 20 vehicles.

Police identified the passengers in the first helicopter as singer Oliver Tree, Lucas Vignale, Gaspar Prim, Lucas Brito Chaves, and pilot Alexandre Souza. The second helicopter carried only pilot Charles Marsillac. Tree, 32, was an American singer performing in Brazil as part of his world tour.
He had released his most recent album in April and was scheduled to begin the European leg of his tour on July 1.
Police said an investigation into the cause of the collision has been opened. It remains unclear what led to the mid-air incident. Tree gained popularity in 2010 and released his first studio album in 2020. His single "Life Goes On" reached platinum status in the U.S.
