Singer Sia Agrees to Pay $42,500 Monthly Child Support in Divorce Settlement with Daniel Bernad

Australian singer Sia, whose real name is Sia Furler, has reached a child support agreement with her ex-husband Daniel Bernad for their two-year-old son, Somersault Wonder. The 50-year-old singer announced the details in a statement on X on Thursday. Court documents, viewed by People magazine, outline the terms of the settlement.

Under the agreement, Sia will pay $42,500 per month in child support, starting April 1. The payments are set to continue until Somersault turns 18, or until he graduates high school or reaches 19 if enrolled full-time. The support may end earlier in cases of the child's death, marriage, emancipation, or a new court order.

In addition to monthly payments, Sia is responsible for maintaining the child's health insurance and covering private school tuition, agreed extracurricular activities, and uninsured medical costs. She must also keep a $5 million life insurance policy naming Somersault as beneficiary, or establish a trust to provide equivalent support if she dies before he turns 18.
