Singer-songwriter found stabbed to death in east London
A 35-year-old musician was found with stab wounds in Silvertown on 5 June and pronounced dead at the scene. Three people were arrested on suspicion of murder the same day.
deadline.comA 35-year-old singer-songwriter was found with stab wounds in the garden of a property in Rayleigh Road, Silvertown, east London, on the morning of 5 June and pronounced dead at the scene. Police were called at about 9am after reports of a stabbing in nearby Pankhurst Avenue. The victim, whose real name was Mark Orabiyi, had written tracks for multiple recording artists.
Williams posted messages of condolence. Orabiyi’s brother, record producer Scribz Riley, wrote on Instagram that the two had spoken about future plans hours before the death.
A 27-year-old man was later released on bail; a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were released with no further action. A senior investigating officer said the inquiry continues and appealed for witnesses who were in the area at the time to contact police.
