SK Group Announces Partnership with Vietnamese Province and Innovation Center for AI Development
South Korea's SK Group has partnered with Vietnam's Nghe An Province and National Innovation Center to foster an AI ecosystem. SK Group announced a partnership with a Vietnamese provincial government and a national innovation center on April 24, 2026, to foster an artificial intelligence ecosystem in Vietnam and support the country's future growth strategy, Yonhap reported.
The collaboration is expected to lay the groundwork for the first overseas expansion of SK Group's full-stack AI model, which spans the construction of AI data centers, stable power supplies, development and validation of AI models, and rollout of industry-specific AI services.

During the forum, SK Innovation Co. signed a memorandum of understanding with the north-central province of Nghe An on April 23, 2026. SK Telecom Co. signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Innovation Center on April 23, 2026.
Under the MOU with Nghe An Province, SK Innovation, SK Telecom, and the provincial government will jointly explore the construction of an AI data center and related infrastructure projects in the region. Nghe An Province is located in north-central Vietnam and features manufacturing, energy, and high-tech industries clustered around major port and logistics infrastructure.
Under the MOU with Vietnam's National Innovation Center, SK Innovation and SK Telecom agreed to cooperate in building AI data centers, developing energy infrastructure, and establishing policy and institutional frameworks to foster the AI industry.
