Chief Executive Officer Kwak Noh-jung told staff during a company meeting on June 11 that the chipmaker is weighing the introduction of outside generative AI models.
He said the company wants to balance protection of industrial technologies with expanded AI use. "We are considering the adoption of Microsoft 365 and CoPilot, and are also reviewing the potential use of ChatGPT within the company from the perspectives of security and system architecture," Kwak said. The company currently runs an in-house AI service built on open-source generative models.
