A skydiving plane crashed near Nancy in north-eastern France on 28 June 2026, killing all 11 people on board, The Guardian reported. The plane, operated by a parachuting school, went down at 11 a.m. local time, said Yves Séguy, prefect of the Meurthe-et-Moselle region.
The victims were one pilot and ten passengers made up of five students and five instructors, the prefecture stated. Séguy said the aircraft fell suddenly immediately next to the aerodrome. There were no collateral victims, he added.
Emergency services responded at once and began collecting witness statements. French interior minister Laurent Nuñez was traveling to the scene, his staff said.
