Slate Electric Pickup Starts at $24,950 with Custom SUV Kits

Slate set a starting price of $24,950 for its electric pickup truck. Business Insider reported that more than 10,000 people placed nonrefundable $300 preorders in the first four hours after the website went live. The vehicle is scheduled to reach U.S.

Roads by the end of 2026. The base model includes manual crank windows, no infotainment screen, no interior speakers, two seats, and an estimated range of 205 miles. It also comes with cruise control, tactile controls, and air conditioning.

Slate plans to sell more than 200 accessories and add-ons, including seat covers, roof racks, and a stereo. Buyers can convert the truck into an SUV with kits priced at $29,950 for the squareback model and $31,950 for the Fastback model. Both kits add a second-row bench seat that increases capacity to five passengers.

The company will offer more than 100 wrap colors at launch, with some full-vehicle wraps expected to cost less than $500. Slate-trained installers can apply the wraps in hours. Peter Faricy, Slate's new chief executive and former vice president of Amazon Marketplace, oversees the effort to sell the vehicle and its modular options.
