A snake was discovered on a TUI flight from Cancun, Mexico, to London Gatwick after the aircraft landed. The reptile had not been seen by any of the 345 passengers during the flight. The snake was first spotted by a cleaner after arrival. It disappeared before it could be captured.
Animal experts and engineers searched the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The aircraft remains out of service while the search continues. A TUI spokesman said the airline is following International Civil Aviation Organisation guidelines. The same spokesman stated there has been no impact to the flight schedule or to customers.
" The source added that the snake is believed to be a non-venomous Salmon-bellied Racer, a species known to bite if handled.
