The figure was nearly double the level recorded in 2021. Requests from people in their 60s rose by about 4,000 from 2024 to 20,848.
Those in their 50s accounted for 22,291 requests, an increase of about 3,000, while people in their 70s and older made 13,408 requests, also up by about 3,000. People in their 50s and older together filed more than half of all social media-related consultations. Overall consultations at consumer affairs centers totaled about 970,000 in 2025, an increase of about 70,000 from 2024.
