Executives at SoftBank target a $100 billion valuation for Roze. Founder and CEO Masayoshi Son is driving the effort to establish Roze, which will be involved in building data centers. SoftBank is committing tens of billions of dollars in the AI sphere, and Son wants to list the business to offset commitments including pledges to OpenAI.
SoftBank has placed a giant bet on OpenAI in particular. The firm is also trying to mold Arm Holdings into a potential competitor to Nvidia. SoftBank is leading financing for the Stargate project to develop data centers in the United States.
Its other investments include the robotics business of ABB and digital infrastructure investment firm DigitalBridge. com, as noted in the Financial Times report cited by The Japan Times.
