Solidion Technology Inc. shares rose Thursday morning after the company announced its patented Generation Extreme-Climate Battery platform. The technology is intended for low Earth orbit artificial intelligence data centers, the lunar economy, and deep-space missions.

The Dallas-based company stated that the system uses graphene to maintain performance across temperatures from −80°C to +60°C. It also reported tested performance exceeding 500 charge cycles at −40°C.

The company positioned the platform for potential use with commercial space projects, including synergies with Starship and the Artemis program. It noted reliance on a domestic U.S. supply chain. Market futures showed Nasdaq down 1.23% and S&P 500 down 0.45% at the time of the announcement.
