koreaherald.comSong Young-han shot a three-under 67 in the final round of LIV Golf Korea at the par-70 Asiad Country Club in Busan on Sunday. He finished the tournament at six-under overall and tied for 12th place, making him the top South Korean finisher. An Byeong-hun, the only South Korean to have recorded a top-10 finish in LIV Golf history, tied for 37th at one-over par.
He shot a final-round 67 at the same course. Mun Do-yeob, who joined the LIV Golf squad days before the event, finished tied for 23rd at two-under par. He opened with back-to-back rounds of 68 before posting consecutive 71s on the weekend.
Mun said he was upset about missing birdie opportunities but viewed the result as acceptable for his first LIV Golf tournament. He added that he wanted to perform better because the event was held in Korea. Mun stated that competing on the circuit would come down to putting, noting that top players excel on the greens and that he would need to improve there to stay competitive.
Kim Min-kyu placed 54th among 57 players at six-over par after shooting 72 in the final round. He said he was grateful for support from home fans but disappointed he did not reward them with stronger play. Kim added that playing in Korea as Korean Golf Club meant a great deal, but he found the poor performance embarrassing.
LIV Golf held its inaugural season in 2022. An Byeong-hun finished ninth at the season-opening event in Riyadh that year.
