Sony broadcast a State of Play presentation on June 2, 2026, at 5 p.m. ET that ran for more than 60 minutes and included game updates, announcements, and gameplay footage. The event opened with a new trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games. The game is scheduled to launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 on September 15, 2026.
Studio revealed God of War Laufey, the next entry in the God of War series. The game has no release date yet and will be available on PlayStation 5. Remedy Entertainment announced that Control Resonant will launch on September 24, 2026. The sequel stars Dylan Faden as the sole playable character.
Several other games received release windows during the stream. Onimusha: Way of the Sword is set for September 25, 2026, with a demo available immediately. Dune: Awakening arrives on PlayStation 5 on September 22, 2026, and includes a new single-player mode.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis was delayed from 2026 to February 12, 2027. Rayman Legends Retold is scheduled for August 27, 2026. The second season of Marathon, titled Nightfall, began on June 2, 2026, and remains free to play through June 9, 2026.
Additional titles shown include Ace Combat 8, scheduled for October 2, 2026, and The Lost Wild, planned for 2027.
