The funds were split nearly evenly between a corporation under George's name and a nonprofit directed by Alex.
A Washington Post review of 50 major donors found George, 95, is the single largest individual donor in the cycle so far. He is on pace to exceed his own record of $128 million from the previous midterms. George gave Alex control of the operation in 2023. This is the first midterm cycle the younger Soros has run himself. The candidates supported by the donations are harder to trace.
